Tori Spelling is taking the time to be present and appreciate life after she was involved in a car crash with her kids and in the wake of her ex Patrick Muldoonās untimely death.
āYou have to celebrate it,ā Spelling, 52, exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, May 1, while attending Calamigos Ranch Resort & Spaās Leading Hotels of the World accreditation celebration. āAnd I think lifeās too short, and weāre all realizing that lately. So, yeah, you have to celebrate every day. ā

āWe are so grateful and so lucky because it could have been so much worse,ā Spelling said in a video shared via social media on April 7. āGuardian angels were definitely with us that day because in a split second I looked and saw he was going to full on impact into the side of our car. And I turned hard left as hard as I could, as fast as I could, to avoid as much impact on the children as possible. He spun us out.ā
Weeks later, Days of Our Lives actor Muldoon died on April 19 following a heart attack. Spelling remembered her ex, who she met on a blind date, in a touching social media post.
āThis post took me a couple days,ā Spelling, 52, wrote via Instagram on April 21. āI wasnāt ready to write because then it felt real. And, this shouldnāt be real. @thepatrickmuldoon and I met on a blind date. Which thankfully wasnāt a blind date at all because we were both on a tv series. Like every other girl in the world I crushed on his character Austin from Days of Our Lives. Not sure I ever disclosed that to him.ā
She continued, āWhat I met and ultimately fell in love w/ was not just a beautiful on the outside creature but the most beautiful soul. He was special and one of a kind. The kindest most caring human w/ raddest weird sense of humor. We got each other! Laughed a lot ! I laughed w/him and at him and he loved it. Was multi talented. Passionate about everything he did.ā
On Friday, Spelling told Us that despite her recent hardship and loss, she is looking forward to the future.
āWell, I can wait on this one but one day, one day, one day, I canāt wait to grow our family and be a grandma and a great grandma,ā she explained. āWe had a small family growing up. I obviously have a big family now. Iāve seen through my older kids finding their partners and getting to know their family.ā
She added, āIām like, āOh my gosh, I see the futureā and itās not right now, but I canāt wait to be that grandma and great grandma, and have so many grandchildren and babies running around and cooking for them and celebrating life with them.ā
In the more immediate future, the actress says sheās looking forward to celebrating Motherās Day with her children.
āJust being with my babies and doing what they want to do,ā she added.
