The wedding bells have rung in the Royal family as Queen Elizabeth II’s grandson, Peter Phillips, has tied the knot with Harriet Sperling. The two said their “I Dos” in an intimate ceremony held at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester. The church is at an equal distance from Gatcombe Park, Princess Anne’s Gloucester estate, where Peter was raised with his sister, Zara Tindall, and the Sperlings’ family home in nearby South Cerney.

All eyes were on Harriet Sperling as she walked down the aisle looking like an absolute dream. She made her grand enterance in a lace wedding gown by Emilia Wickstead, which she accessorised with a pair of custom slingback shoes by Jimmy Choo. The simple column dress looked whimsical with its dramatic lace, long sleeves, and high collar, reminiscent of the Princess of Wales’ wedding gown from 2011.
Additionally, the crowning moment was a new tiara by famed Mayfair jeweller, Pragnell. Sperling was met out of the car by her daughter, Georgina and Phillips’ daughters, Savannah and Isla. All three girls served as bridesmaids, holding up Sperling’s lace veil as she made her way into the church.
How did Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling meet?
 It is through their daughters, Isla, Savannah and Georgina, that Peter and Harriet first crossed paths a few years ago. According to reports, the girls played in the same local hockey team and were friends long before their parents started dating. It was revealed that Phillips and Sperling were introduced one day at a fixture, and it wasn’t long after that that the couple made their debut, stepping out together at the Badminton Horse Trials in May 2024.
According to a source, Sperling and Phillips were ‘spending time together’ but didn’t confirm the nature of their relationship until a month later during their second outing. In a conversation with the Daily Telegraph, the source revealed that the couple appeared at Beaufort Polo Club, and their loved-up embraces and PDA were what confirmed their relationship. Next came Royal Ascot, the jewel in the crown of the British social season.
Despite being new to the scene, Sperling carried herself with the dignity and grace of a royal veteran, all while winning plaudits for her soft pink Beulah London dress. However, their relationship came under scrutiny when Phillips began dating Sperling right after his breakup with Lindsay Wallace, a friend of his sister, Zara. For the unversed, she had even met late Queen Elizabeth II, and many believed the two would tie the knot.
Who is Peter Phillips’ wife, Harriet Sperling
Harriet Sperling, born Harriet Eleanor Sander, was born to Mary Hoskins and Rupert Sanders in 1980. She is the second youngest of four siblings: Nicholas, Louisa, and Rebecca. All three are allegedly joined Mary for their sister’s royal wedding. However, Sperling’s father sadly passed away in 2023, the year before his daughter and Peter started dating. Harriet has worked as a Paediatric Nurse Specialist for the NHS.
She is “passionate about early brain development in babies and seeing children thrive”, according to an online bio. Apart from that, Sperling is a devout Christian with a quiet strength and sense of self that she has cultivated in her years as a single mother. It is understood she split from her ex when her daughter was still a toddler.Â
