Amy Schumer is keeping people updated on her health.
The 43-year-old comedian informed fans about her experience with taking an alternative weight loss drug called Mounjaro, after she couldn’t handle the side effects of Wegovy.
“Three years ago I tried Wegovy, and I was like puking. I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they like, changed the formula or whatever,” she said in an Instagram video.
The Kinda Pregnant star then went on to detail her process of meeting with Midi Health, which prescribed her hormones estrogen and progesterone, and GLP-1 drug
Mounjaro.

“My symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy,” she said.
“Mounjaro has been great,” she added, before noting that it is typically not covered by insurance unless patients have “diabetes” or “severe obesity.”
“But I’m having a really good experience, so I wanted to keep it real with you about that,” she noted.
