Doja Cat Appears In Pablo’s TikTok Video
The drama kicked off when a fan named Pablo posted a TikTok earlier this month showing him cozying up with Doja. In the clip, Pablo takes off his shirt and hands it to the ‘Say So’ hitmaker. Doja seemed gracious throughout as she accepted the shirt and even engaged in some small talk with him.
Then, things got touchy. Near the video’s end, Pablo pulls Doja in for a hug, and they chat like old friends before hugging again. But before the video cuts, Pablo plants a kiss on Doja’s cheek, and she’s cheesing hard. Doja even told him, “You smell great.” The video gave the impression that Doja was feeling his vibe. Well, not quite. Turns out the Cali native felt the complete opposite, and she let the world know on X.

Doja Cat Went Off About The Encounter Soon After
On Friday, June 13, she took to X with a string of now-deleted tweets that had us all shook. The Grammy winner seemed angered about Pablo’s touchy-feely energy. She called him out for being too handsy and even kissing her cheek when he didn’t even know her real name (it’s Amala, FYI). In one tweet, she snapped:
“Bottom line is I’ll smile at you but it doesn’t mean I f*ck w you and don’t touch me and man handle me when you don’t even f***** know me. Iykyk. I honestly think I need to stand up for myself in the moment sometimes. And he didn’t know my f***** name to be touching me and kissing me on my face like that is crazy.”
But the shade didn’t stop there, y’all! Doja added that she “threw that musty a** shirt away.” Fans’ eyebrows were raised, eager to get some clarification on what transpired leading up to their encounter. Fortunately, they didn’t have to wait too long, as Pablo wasted no time filling people in.
Pablo Apologizes While Setting The Record Straight
With the TikTok video racking up views and Doja’s tweets going viral, Pablo jumped back online to clear his name. In a follow-up video, he explained how the whole thing came about and offered an apology. He said he met Doja at an event where she complimented his shirt first, saying she loved it. Later, outside, he saw his chance to pitch his Pride collection, hoping she’d model some of his pieces. That’s when Doja asked for a shirt, to which he said he’d give her the one off his back, and started filming with her approval.
“I understand if I was being too nice or whatever, I will take full accountability,” Pablo said.
“I’m gay, I would never want to make her feel uncomfortable. She’s so iconic. I’ve only been saying the nicest things about her, she’s the sweetest celebrity.” He added, “I understand that she has to set her boundaries, she’s a celebrity […] but for me, I’m a normal person that’s at a bar and meets Doja Cat.”
