Pan-India actress Hansika Motwani and Sohael Kathuriya are all set to part ways officially. It is worth mentioning that reports of Hansika and Sohael living away from each other have been making the rounds since last year. But Hansika never confirmed the same as she wanted to keep the matters off the media.

Hansika and Sohael got married in December 2022, in a grand wedding at Mundota Fort and Palace in Jaipur. The wedding was even broadcast as a series on JioHotstar. However, the couple parted ways after a year of marriage. The rumours surfaced after Hansika removed several videos and photos with Sohael. However, she maintained a dignified silence on the matter.
As per a recent report in India Today, Hansika had approached the court to file for a divorce by mutual consent. However, she had decided not to make any alimony claims as part of the separation. Hansika was represented by advocate Adnan Shaikh. He claimed that the couple had been living away from each other since 2024.
Regarding what led to their divorce, it is stated that the two realised their temperaments, opinions and lifestyles were significantly different. This would often lead to frequent disagreements between them. The report further stated that the couple’s parents, relatives, and friends attempted to help them reconcile, but their efforts to mend the relationship failed. The two have been living apart since July 2, 2024. They both have submitted their affidavits confirming that they don’t have any claims or demands against each other.

After Hansika changed her surname’s spelling on Instagram, she seemed to have unfollowed her husband, Sohael Khaturiya. Not only this, but Sohael is also not following Hansika. A netizen on Reddit shared the screenshots of Hansika’s follower list. Not only this, the user even shared Sohael’s IG followers. It is worth mentioning that Sohael has made his IG account private. Later, Hansika and Sohael clarified that they had known each other for years since he was a friend of Hansika’s brother and fell in love over time. The duo tied the knot in December 2022. It is worth mentioning that Hansika has been keeping Karwa Chauth fast for two years, but in 2025, she skipped it and didn’t even share any pictures with her husband.
