Malaika Arora, who has never shied away from answering difficult questions, recently sat down for an interview with ANI. During the conversation, she opened up about her recent appearance as a guest judge and revealed what irritated her on that episode to make her speak out. The diva revealed that she didn’t intend to scold that 16-year-old boy, Naveen Shah, on the show and neither wanted to point out that he was wrong. Instead, she just wanted to highlight that he went overboard. In his words:
“Maybe that moment, I didn’t have any intention to scold him or tell him that what you’re doing is wrong. That wasn’t my intention. I was just going to say that you’re doing too much.”
Malaika added that she wanted to remind the contestant to tone down his gestures because he is just 16 years old. At the same time, the actress admitted that she even dances and has fun on shows, and that is fine, but that particular moment was a little too much. Moreover, Malaika admitted that the young boy is an impressive dancer and a nice kid. Recalling her intention, she said:
“There’s no need to do so much. We’re sitting here, and we’re your judges. You’re 16 years old. We also sing. We also make fun of it. We also do some drama in the song, which is fine. We also blow kisses. We also bite our lips. It’s all part and parcel of expression, which I feel is absolutely fine. Maybe at that moment, I felt it was a little too much.”

Malaika Arora was seen as the guest judge on Remo D’souza’s show, Hip Hop India Season 2. During the show, a 16-year-old contestant, Naveen Shah, winked and blew flying kisses towards her, making Malaika uncomfortable. She immediately called it out, and the situation was later handled by Remo, who called Naveen’s father, and they dismissed the matter with fun. For those unaware, expressing her issue, Malaika said:
“Aapki mummy ka phone number? 16 saal ka bacha hai, dance kar raha hai, seedha mujhe dekh kar. Aankh maar raha hai.”
Malaika Arora’s personal life
Apart from Malaika’s career, her personal life has made equal noise, but she navigated through everything gracefully. The diva was first married to Salman Khan’s brother, actor-filmmaker, Arbaaz Khan, for nineteen years before parting ways in 2017. They have a son, Arhaan, who has recently turned 22. While Arbaaz married Sshura Khan, Malaika had been dating Arjun Kapoor since 2018, but the duo parted ways in 2024. Malaika is currently single and has chosen to focus on her work.
