Philanthropist, Seema Singh the founder of MeghaShrey NGO, which is named after her daughter, Meghna Singh has been hogging the limelight. The entrepreneur recently hosted a starry sangeet night for the occasion of her daughter’s wedding. The pre-wedding bash was attended by stars like Shahid Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Shilpa Shetty, Vaani Kapoor, Karan Johar, Sushmita Sen, Sonali Bendre, Karan Johar, to name a few. Now, a video on April 18, 2025, went viral from Meghna’s varmala ceremony with Shantanu, where Meghna’s mom, Seema, was seen breaking down.

Half of Bollywood has been seen lately at Dr. Meghna’s pre-wedding functions with Shantanu. Apart from the stars adding a dash of glam to the big fat wedding, it was Seema who was seen crying on the special day of her daughter. A video has gone viral where Meghna can be seen coming towards her mom, wearing a red lehenga with a floor-length pallu. Her maa, Seema, could not stop crying and kissing her daughter. She was then seen holding her hand and guiding her on the stage. Meghna and Shantanu were then seen doing the varmala ceremony and made each other wear the white hued garland.
Meghna, for her wedding day, looked like a goddess in a ravishing red lehenga that had intricate temple work. For her jewellery, she was seen wearing what looked like heavy diamond and silver jewellery. From heavy necklaces, matha patta to simple dewy makeup, Meghna looked no less than a rani in front of her praja, who was capturing pictures and making videos from their special day. Shantanu, on the other side, looked stunning in a white hued sherwani, turban, specks as he got in a forever bond with Meghna.

There have been many pictures and videos floating from Meghana’s wedding reception. Politician, Aditya Thackeray, along with spiritual orator and motivational speaker, Jaya Kishori, have been spotted coming to the wedding venue in Mumbai to exchange heartfelt wishes to the couple. Seema could be seen being the happiest mother as she wore a rich red-hued lehenga and completed her look with heavy jewellery, a big gajra adding on to the desiness. Her son, Shrey, wore a cream-hued sherwani kurta and posed in front of the paps.

From Karan Veer Mehra posing with Sushmita Sen to Karan Johar, Vaani Kapoor hosting Meghna’s pre-wedding bash, Seema Singh ensured the wedding of her daughter was like Ambani’s big fat Indian wedding. Shahid Kapoor was also seen on the stage dancing on Shaam Shaandaar, Maua Hi Mauja and also had an outfit change for his song, Teri Baaton Mein Aise Uljha Jiya. For those who don’t know, Seema is the daughter-in-law of Alkem Laboratories Limited, which is a famous pharmaceutical company. Her father-in-law and her husband, Mritunjay Singh, are the chairman and director of Alkem Pharma, respectively.
