Chet Hanks has a new music video out!
The 34-year-old actor/musician and his Something Out West bandmate Drew Arthur released the Forrest Gump-themed music video for their song “You Better Run,” which features a cameo by Tom Hanks.
The video makes several nods to the 1994 Oscar-winning movie, including Chet dressed up as dad’s character, the band performing on a shrimp fishing boat named Jenny, a box of chocolates, and the iconic Nike Coretz sneakers.

“You better run / Like the devil’s on your tail / Like you broke out of jail / Like a big storm’s coming / Run, like a wild mustang / Like a bullet train” Chet and Drew sing on the song. “Let me tell you something / You’re running out of time / On a ticking clock / She’ll be comin’ for you / There’s no time to walk / Run, run, run.”
Then at one point in the video, Tom, 68, joins his son on the famous bench.
Something Out West‘s debut EP Leaving Hollywood will be released on June 20.
In a recent interview, Chet shared how Tom and mom Rita Wilson have supported him through his sobriety journey.
