Tate McRae‘s new music is seemingly a reflection on her time touring while recovering from her breakup with The Kid LAROI.
The Emile Haynie-produced “NOBODY’S GIRL” is one of the major tracks featured on her SO CLOSE TO WHAT??? deluxe album, out at midnight (November 21) stateside and already live in several territories around the world.

“My heart was like an open sore / Saw, like, twenty healers when I was on tour,” she reflects on the track, which is seemingly a reference to the Miss Possessive Tour, which just ended earlier this month.
“I am nobody’s girl, I love it so much / It’s exactly what I wanted, oh I am nobody’s girl, does it mess you up? / That you had it, and you lost it, nobody.”
Over the summer, The Kid LAROI confirmed their split after about a year together, and the two have since gone back and forth on different tracks, seemingly referencing each other.
In fact, The Kid LAROI has new music out tonight too, and his song is also getting attention for its apparent Tate connection.
