Blake Lively‘s friend and director Paul Feig is offering an update on how the actress is doing amid her legal drama with Justin Baldoni.
During the Oscars on Sunday night (March 15), the director was asked about Blake and said she’s “great.”

“Blake is great. She’s great,” he told Extra. “She’s just, you know, soldiering on and she’s such a great mom and that’s such the biggest part of her life that she just continues to be wonderful.”
Paul also added that she and her husband Ryan Reynolds have “a happy marriage” and “their kids are great.”
“I love her,” he concluded.
The filmmaker has directed Blake in both A Simple Favor and the recent sequel Another Simple Favor.
Paul has previously spoken out in defense of the Gossip Girl alum, defending her from online bullies last year and calling her an “amazing collaborator.”
“Blake is an amazing collaborator, so when I read people’s misconceptions about how movies are made, it’s just frustrating for me,” he said at the time.
Even before that, he clarified that the final cut of Another Simple Favor is his own cut and defended her against misconceptions that she had taken over the film, calling her “nothing but supporting and a dream to work with.”
