Popular social media influencer, Jen Hamilton, is currently hogging the spotlight after dropping a video of herself crying. In the video, she shared the difficult time she is going through, and although she did not explicitly reveal what happened to her, fans have speculated that she got divorced from her husband. Well, as this video continued to gain traction, an old video of her holding a Bible and saying “I was in prison,” among other things, has resurfaced.

It was in June 2025 that Jen Hamilton posted a video on her social media asking her followers about what resources she could provide to people in her life who were starting to deconstruct their loyalty to the MAGA movement. While some left helpful tips in the comment section, it was one reply that drew her attention. The comment read:
“Whoa. Be careful now. I am happily MAGA, and I love Jesus. We are exhausted from liberal nonsense.”
As Jen did not want to argue with the person behind the comment, she decided to make a video while grabbing the Bible and holding up “the character of Jesus, his actual words, as a mirror” to those who support President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement. In the clip, she reads, “I was hungry, and you fed me,” when a headline about a Trump administration spending bill popped up, which showcased how they proposed to slash federal funding to the SNAP food program by nearly USD 300 billion.
Jen Hamilton then went on to read, “I was in prison, and you visited me,” when a headline about migrants who had entered the country legally but were still deported to El Salvador prison popped up on the screen. When another story about potential cuts to Medicaid flashed by, she read, “I was sick, and you cared for me.” The video garnered millions of views, with many applauding the way in which Jen chose to use the Scripture as a way of offering commentary. However, Jen later revealed that those who did not like her video even went as far as to report her to the Board of Nursing to have my license taken away. In an interview, she said:
“As a nurse, I don’t know how you don’t fight for the rights of the vulnerable communities you care for. I’m a Christ-follower, but the video I made wasn’t a religious or political statement – it was a moral one.”

Recently, Jen Hamilton shared a video on Instagram where she could be seen crying inconsolably while revealing that she wanted her healed version to come and tell her that everything is going to be alright. She claimed that at this moment, she needs herself the most and wants to tell herself that no matter how many years it takes, whatever she is feeling right now is not going to last forever. Jen said that she will heal without revealing what exactly happened. What the influencer did mention was that she felt hurt and although she felt dumb while making the video, she wanted to post it so that one day her healed version can look at it and realise what they have overcome.
Jen Hamilton went on to add that her son, Luke, had asked her if she would continue crying all the time, to which she replied that she hoped not to. The caption of the post further added to the speculations that she has divorced her husband, although she did not directly mention him. The caption can be read as:
“Day 1: absolutely devastated. Please don’t try to reach out to anybody on my behalf. That would make everything so much worse for me. Please just let me grieve. My heart is absolutely shattered. ‘He broke my heart but I still love him with all the pieces.’”
